Small update: better completion tracking (and the game is now *actually* text-free!)
Hello! One of the bullet points I was really excited about in the previous update was the fact that the game was now textless! Except that was objectively wrong! Oops!
So, in removing all of the text from the game (for real this time), I also had to fiddle the UI quite a bit and wound up cleaning up a LOT of stuff, including a much cleaner-looking end-of-level UI and a rebuilt main menu.
In addition to being text-free, the game also no longer requires a mouse (though you can still use one in the menus).
I did manage to get a small new gameplay tweak in - levels now have "star" times. If you finish a level fast enough, the level end screen will show a yellow star, and a star will appear on the level select screen as well. I tried to make these pretty fair, but I'm interested in how difficult other people find them! A few levels had some small tweaks too.
One final note - I do feel like I'm starting to notice some performance issues in web exports. Specifically on level 3-5, but I think it has to do with the number of elements on the screen at once. I don't feel like this happens on Windows exports. If you play and happen to notice this, please let me know if it happens, and it would be extra helpful if you can check in the Windows version too.
Aside from that, I feel like I can focus on making new levels 😈😈😈so next update should include a new handful!
